Cloverstar watched as Eaglewing, Thornfur, and Lionstripe disapeared out from the Clover Field. She wished them all the luck of Starclan, but pushed that away. Starclan is no longer with us, they abandoned us in our time of greatest need.
As she turned away, she saw Burningpelt sitting just behind her. "Burningpelt, I-"
"You are quit worried." He quired, tipping his head. "Why? For sending your only medicine cat and two strongest warriors into enemy territory?"
"Funny." Cloverstar hissed through clenched teeth. "Now then, go set up a hunting patrol. We have many kits in the Nursery to feed."
Burningpelt winced and trotted off. Cloverstar decided to go visit the kits.
As she poked her head in the Nurdery Rock Den, she found many bundles of fur scattering after her.
"Cloverstar, Cloverstar!" The kits mewled. Cloverstar purred, and looking over at the queens, who were laying next to each other smiling warmly, she dipped her head and leaft. Night was beggining to fall when the storm caught up. Rain came down on the field, and Cloverstar wondered where Eaglewing and her warriors were. She prayed they were safe, and padded into her den. She closed her eyes, and made way to a dizzy darkness.

"Cloverstar, wake up! Cloverstar!" The frantic scream echoed in her ear. Cloverstar blinked awake, tired. "Wha...?" She yawned, Suddenly full awake, she leaped to her paws. "Thornfur? What is it?"
The broad tabby had many wounds, and blood trickled down his forhead. Cloverstar's heart stopped.
"Th...they ambushed us! Tornclan, they were surrounding us, I maneged to slip away before...."
"Thornfur, calm down," she whispered, though she felt let wailing to the sky. "Did they hurt either cats? What did they do to Eaglewing and Lionstripe?"
"They took Eaglewing, though they didn't harm her. But...lionstripe tried to stop them. Th...they killed him. Sliced his throaght and left his body."
Cloverstar bowed her head. This was all her fault.
