Cloverstar's Part Continued...

Continued...again...

Cloverstar pelted on the Clover Hedge, her fur blowing in the wind.  "Lets all cats old enough to catch their own pray come beneath the Clover Hedge for a clan meeting."  She yowled, her voice cracking.
Burningpelt shouldered through the crowd, and scrabbled up the hedge.  Once he had reached Cloverstar, he looked up with wide eyes.  "Cloverstar, what is this about?  You haven't discussed anything with me."
"And I don't need to."  Cloverstar hissed, flicking her tail.  It smacked his muzzle, and so thick, it knocked him side ways.  He stumbled, and brushed past her with a growl.  She opened her mouth to call sorry to him, but the clan had already gathered and was waiting for her to start.  She cleared her throat and began, "Cats of Cloverclan, as you know we have rivals in the forest.  Tornclan has left us be in the past, but just today I sent Eaglewing, Thornfur, and Lionstripe out to find Stoid root for Emeraldpaw, who is suffering Green cough, when the patrol was attacked.  Lionstripe was killed-"
Lionstripe's mate, Whitestone, let out a wail.  Soon the whole clan was letting out gasps and wails, and Clovertail fought over them.  "Thornfur got away, but they took Eaglewing.  We must attack at once!"
The clan, still shaken, let out yowls of agreement.
"Let us go forth."  Cloverstar hissed.  She leapt down from the ledge and led the clan out into new territory.
As they entered the Tornclan border, her warriors stopped and began to sniff.  "I smell Tornclan.  Very close by, but I don't see any.  Ambush?"  Tornfur growled.
Burningpelt shouldered past him.  "No, it's to close...like it's right above us-"
there was a snarl, and looking up, Cloverstar screeched.  Almost all of Tornclan was up above in the trees, gathering their haunches ready to spring up.
"It's a trick!"  Cloverstar screeched.  She prepared her self, as Tornclan cats leapt down.  She bowled into the first cat she saw; a huge tabby tom.  He hissed at her.  Arching his back, he flexed his claws.
"Not smart to pick on the strongest cat you see."  He sneered.  Cloverstar curled her lip and swatted him in the face.  He flew back, letting out a yowl.  He struggled to his paws, looking furious.  Just as he was about to leap, she spat, "Where is Eaglewing?"
The tom froze.  Around them blood was splattering the ground, cats clawing each other.
"Eagle...who?"
"Our medicine cat, you forest fool!"  Cloverstar snarled.  "You took our medicine cat, and killed one of my warriors.  And for that, you shall pay."
She raked her claws over his muzzle, spraying blood.  He yelped, his legs buckling.  "I can take you to my leader.  You can talk to him, just...please don't kill me!"
Cloverstar smirked, seeing no warrior spirit in the pitiful lump of fur.  She curled her tail.  "Yes.  Take me to him.  But first, stop this battle!"
The tabby looked hesitant, but he nodded and yowled, "Stop!  Stop the battle!"
The group of spitting cats broke up, and Burningpelt snarled, "What is going on?"
"he is going to bring me to their leader.  This battle will stop until I speak with him."
"Her."  The tabby corrected, growling.
Cloverstar ignored him, then followed him through the forest.  the finally came to a hollow, where he saw only a few cats shuffling around.  They watched as she past them, their eyes burning on her fur.
"Just in that bramble den."  The tabby grumbled.
Cloverstar padded into the den, her fur snagged with brambles.  Two amber eyes shined at her.
"You must be the leader of Cloverclan.  Welcome."  A voice croaked.  "I am Jaggedstar.  You may explain why you decided to attack my clan?"  Out from the shadowed den padded Jaggedstar, her thick grey fur tangled and mated.   Her eyes gleamed with anger and fury.
"You killed one of my warriors and took my medicine cat."  Cloverstar spat.
"Listen, Tornclan does not go by Starclan's warrior code.  We have our own.  You leave us be, we leave you be.  You go int our territory, we defend our territory."
"One of my warriors is very ill and needed Soid root."  Cloverstar snarled.  She gathered her haunches, ready to leap.
